I love going to the movies. Get to a huge dark room, sitting in the seat and enjoy for two hours of a film (or suffer it it is a bad one and then talk ill of it while having a few beers) is one of the things that I like the most in the world. I am lucky enough to live in a city that hosts one of the most important film festivals in the world, other that are more modests and several film series… and although in this last few years many cinemas have closed there are some that still resist. Today, we will tell you about the most important one in San Sebastian: the Principe cinemas.

A history linked to cinema

Located next to the San Telmo Museum, this classical building offers the viewer every type of film. From the more mainstream like the Star Wars galactic saga or the Marvel superhero flicks, to the national cinema or the foreign films that are not found normally in commercial cinemas. There are also 3D films, and most of these films can also been seen in original version with subtitles. All of their rooms are comfortable and with nice sound and visual quality, which we are thankful for.

It also offers double sessions with films for both kids and adults (Txiki Txiki Bang Bang) that are awesome. A cinema party with a huge vibe in which both the organizers and audience play their part to enjoy the seventh art in a unique way. It is mandatory to go there

The Principe cinemas hold a special place in my heart. Over there I have probably seen hundreds of films during my lifetime, I have been one of those that went to the cinema twice or three times per week, and it carved in my heart memories that will accompany me throughout my whole life.
