Way of St. James Hiking Tour from San Sebastian

Go Local San Sebastian will guide you along one of the most beautiful walking routes in the area: the coastal path that runs along the slopes of Mount Ulia, from Donostia to Pasajes.

Follow in the footsteps of the famous writer Victor Hugo as you follow the Northern Way of St. James with a local guide. Experience our seafaring history and our whaling tradition, and feel like the first tourists of the 19th century. Along this natural space that is Mount Ulia, a fundamental part of our city, you will get to know the flora and fauna of our immediate surroundings, as well as the historical corners hidden in the mountain.

You can complement the tour with a visit to the Albaola Sea Factory of the Basques, where an ambitious project is being carried out: to build a 16th century Basque whaler in the style of the period.

Once in the bay of Pasaia, we can regain our strength with a pintxo and a drink. This is undoubtedly an active and fun way to get to know a lesser-known part of the city and its natural environment.
