Way of St. James Hiking Tour from San Sebastian
Follow in the footsteps of the famous writer Victor Hugo as you walk the Northern Way of Saint James with a local guide. Discover our maritime history and whaling tradition, and feel like the first tourists of the 19th century. Along the natural space of Mount Ulia, a fundamental part of our city, you will learn about the flora and fauna of our immediate surroundings, as well as the historical corners hidden in the mountain.
You can round off the excursion with a visit to the Albaola Faktoria Basque Maritime Museum, where an ambitious project is underway: to build a 16th-century Basque whaling ship in the style of the period.
Once in Pasaia Bay, we can recharge our batteries with a pintxo and a drink. This is undoubtedly an active and enjoyable way to get to know a lesser-known part of the city and its natural environment.
