The Kutxaespacio or also known as the San Sebastián Science Museum is the ideal place to understand science from a much more interactive point of view.

The permanent exhibition of the Kutxaespacio consists of several rooms in which to find different areas, as well as information and a didactic part. The free visit to this area is around 2 hours. You can also choose the guided tour option.
The permanent exhibition of the Kutxaespacio has the following rooms:
- Spark Room: It is one of the new and updated rooms where you can understand the secrets of electricity.
- Human body – you will be able to find out all the secrets of the human body, carry out an autopsy or experience how colorblind people see.
- Sense and sensitivity: you will be amazed by this room as it will lead you to doubt between what is real and what is fictional.
- Games of light: light is the fundamental pillar of our life, so knowing it and experimenting with it will be quite an experience.
- Earth ship: you will know the effects that human beings can produce on our planet and how insignificant we can become.
- Test yourself: in this fun room you can discover your physical capacity and compete against friends or family.
- Mechanical world: see for yourself all the concepts of physics that are applied in our daily life.
- Animalia: You will discover three different habitats that are home to 20 different species of animals.
Sala Logik
It is a research and development room where a workshop applied with LEGO is carried out. This workshop usually lasts between 1-2 hours.
Planetarium
This incredible room with a capacity of 140 seats and equipped with 4K technology will allow you to live an immersive and enveloping experience that will last approximately 30 minutes.
Car or flight simulators
The Kutxaespacio has 5 different simulators where you can find experiences of cars, flights or even attractions. Therefore, the average time that is usually spent in this room is from 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Gardens
If you want to rest and get some fresh air or enjoy your meal outdoors, you can spend as much time as you like visiting and discovering the Kutxaespacio gardens.
Activities to do in the Kutxaespacio
In addition to the rooms and rooms that you can visit in the Kutxaespacio, there are different activities that you cannot miss if you have the opportunity.
Kosmos Section in Astronomy
You will be able to discover different points of astronomy explained by a professional regarding topics such as the sky of the month, seasons or some specific thematic sessions. Also, check the language in which it will take place as this can be Spanish or Basque.

This section is a collaboration between the CSIC and the Basque University, which is why it is a meeting point for research and dialogue on current science. It is designed for an older audience and an interest in science.

Kutxaespacio is highly committed to the development of professionals in the science and technology sector. Therefore, it carries out this meeting point for students of ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training.
Hours and rate Kutxaespacio
The Kutxaespacio schedule is differentiated between low season, high season and weekends.
In the case of Low season (September to May) the schedule during the week is from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
During high season, they open and close one hour later, that is, they change to a weekday schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In the case of weekends, a schedule from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. is maintained all year round.
Regarding rates, we find different prices both for what the ticket includes and for the type of public it is intended for.
For example, general admission with all visits to the rooms (Museum + Planetarium + Animalia guided tour) has a cost of 16.50 (except people with reduced mobility or children under 3 years of age)
In addition, you can choose other extra activities such as the lego activity or simulators that will have a separate price from the entrance.
